Korea Visa Without ITR: Possible ba?

Korea Visa Without ITR

Choose the Route That Matches Your Actual Situation

Your situationFirst checkWhat not to assume
Employed applicant with an available ITR/Form 2316Current checklist and the correct document from employer or recordsThat a generic letter lets you omit an available required document
Freelancer or online seller without an ITRKVAC FAQ guidance on an explanation letterThat the letter guarantees acceptance or approval
Applicant claiming a formal exemptionExact program eligibility and required replacement documentsThat every professional licence or credit card qualifies
Student, dependent or sponsored applicantChecklist for your category and sponsorship arrangementThat another person’s ITR solves every missing-document issue

Freelancers and Online Sellers: What KVAC Says

The KVAC Manila FAQ allows a freelancer or online seller who cannot provide an ITR to submit a letter to the Embassy explaining why. This describes a document-preparation option for that situation, not a promise of a visa.

Explain your actual work arrangement and the specific document you cannot provide. Identify relevant records that support the explanation, and check what the current checklist or KVAC asks you to submit. Client contracts, payment records or business records should not be presented as universal mandatory substitutes unless the official instructions require them.

A Short Explanation Checklist

Before drafting a letter, answer four factual questions: What applicant category am I using? Which document is unavailable? Why is it unavailable? What relevant evidence supports that explanation? Keep the account consistent with your application form and other records.

Do not copy another applicant’s reason. A person without an employer-issued Form 2316 and a person claiming a formal exemption are not necessarily in the same situation. If the instructions do not resolve your case, ask KVAC a specific document question before submission.

2026 Simplified Documents: Eligibility Comes First

The simplification notice runs January 1–December 31, 2026. It covers specified political, government, professional-licence and credit-card categories, including qualifying family members. Conditions and other general documents still apply.

For cards, check the exact eligible type and principal-cardholder requirement in the official notice and attachment. A bank name or “Gold” label alone is not enough. For a professional-licence route, compare your profession with the named list rather than assuming that every PRC licence qualifies.

Record the route you are claiming and the evidence that establishes eligibility. Do not rely on an expired announcement or a screenshot without its date. If applying after the program period, check for a new official extension rather than assuming continuation.

Do Not Confuse Bank Documents With Tax Documents

The February 20, 2026 revision waived three months of bank statements. That change is separate from a formal ITR exemption. See our bank-document and travel-budget guide for the distinction.

A high balance does not establish eligibility for an exemption. Use truthful documents and keep your financial and work information consistent. Never create or alter an ITR, employer certificate or transaction record to fill a gap.

Before You Submit

Check the current Embassy requirements, mark which documents apply to your actual category, and identify whether you are explaining an unavailable document or using a stated exemption. Keep your own copy of the file.

For the submission sequence, use the application guide. If a previous application was refused, check the separate reapplication guide before arranging another submission.
