Korea Visa Bank Balance: Magkano ang Dapat Nasa Bank Account?

Korea Visa Bank Balance

Walang published fixed peso amount sa KVAC Manila FAQ; ang funds ay kailangang makasagot sa intended stay. Kaya hindi reliable ang claims na “₱50,000 is enough” o “₱100,000 looks better” para sa lahat ng applicants. A bank balance is not an approval score.

Start With a Trip Budget, Not a Target Balance

Gumawa muna ng listahan ng tunay na gastos at kung sino ang magbabayad. Ang worksheet sa ibaba ay isang hypothetical five-day, four-night example. Hindi ito current airfare o hotel quote, at hindi ito Embassy financial requirement.

ExpenseIllustrative calculationAmount
Round-trip airfarePlanning estimate only₱18,000
Accommodation4 nights × ₱2,500₱10,000
Food5 days × ₱900₱4,500
Local transportIllustrative allowance₱2,000
ActivitiesIllustrative allowance₱1,500
ContingencyPersonal planning choice₱5,000
TotalSum of the above₱41,000

Replace each figure with your own travel dates and quotes. Add costs omitted from the example, such as insurance, baggage, shopping or airport transfers. Record which expenses are already paid and which remain due, so you do not count the same expense twice. The contingency amount is your planning choice; no fixed percentage is presented here as a visa rule.

Match the Budget to the Real Funding Arrangement

Write down who will pay for each item: you, a parent, a spouse or another genuine sponsor. Check the current applicant-category checklist for the financial and relationship documents required for that arrangement. A sponsored trip should be described as sponsored, rather than made to look self-funded through a temporary transfer.

For personal planning, subtract costs already paid from your total to see what remains due. Compare that amount with funds genuinely available for travel after other commitments. This exercise checks your budget; it does not calculate the Embassy’s acceptance threshold.

Bank Certificate and Bank Statement Are Different

KVAC’s February 20, 2026 revision waived submission of three months of bank statements. It did not announce a blanket waiver of every applicant’s bank certificate. Obtain the document type and fields specified by the current checklist for your case.

A current balance, an average balance and a transaction history describe different things. Do not treat a difference between them as proof of refusal. If a genuine unusual transaction needs explanation, retain the corresponding transfer, sale, bonus or income record rather than inventing a story.

When a Simplified-Document Program Applies

The 2026 simplification notice exempts specified financial documents for eligible applicants through December 31, 2026. Eligibility has conditions; a bank name or credit-card colour alone is not enough to establish it.

An exemption changes the documents to submit, not the reality of what your trip will cost. If your concern is an unavailable tax document, use the separate Korea visa without ITR guide.

Before Requesting Financial Documents

Use the latest Embassy visa checklist, verify the applicant name and document period, and check whether you are following the standard or an eligible simplified route. Keep private copies and share them only through appropriate application channels.

For the full submission sequence, see our application guide. No balance, worksheet or document package guarantees a visa decision.
